Oh wow, thank you so, so much for these!! Truly, all my memories as a child of myself and my brothers, my nana made all of these and did not ever have any of her recipes. My nana lived in Thunder Bay too, my mother's maiden name was Melnyk, nana's name was Augusta and her husband's name was Mike. Alas, she passed away at the wonderful age of 96, i believe she was born in 1900/ 19001 and had met her husband coming over from the old country in around 1920.

Loving your recipes. Very similar to my husband’s family. We are wondering where in Ukraine your family originated. His grandfather Alexander Rosnak came from Bucovina area around 1911 and settled in Oshawa. We are not sure if that was the correct spelling of our surname, and seeing the similarities we were curious.
